I also know what it’s like to feel the frustration of words on the page not matching the vibrant world in your imagination. I’m here to help you bridge that gap. I’ll walk alongside you as you develop a story, article, devotional, book, or social media post that shines. I’ll help you refine your own writing voice while offering guidance to strengthen your craft. The result? Words that have the potential to reach the world with much-needed Truth.
I've always loved editing and grammar. I studied English Creative Writing in college, edited friends' papers in grad school, and taught middle school ELA for six years. I've worked with a fantastic editor on my own projects, so I know how meaningful it is to have someone to encourage you on your journey. Plus, I'm a little bit nerdy when it comes to the mechanics of writing...it's fun for me!

Services
Content editing: You’ve done the work of getting your words on the page. Now it’s time for a content edit! This is a deep dive into your writing. For fiction, I’ll work with you on developing your plot, raising the stakes, creating characters that feel real to the reader, writing authentic dialogue, weaving a theme or message throughout the story without being “preachy,” and more. For non-fiction, I’ll help you structure your piece in the most meaningful way, offering suggestions for strengthening your voice and creating emotional impact.
Line editing: After writing and revising your work, it’s time for a line edit. During a line edit, I’ll look at how you’ve crafted your manuscript and offer suggestions to make it even stronger. I’ll look at consistency of voice and flow of words. I’ll also look for ways to cut out wordiness and share your story or ideas with greater clarity for maximum impact.
Copy editing: You’ve done the work of writing, revising, and line editing, so now you need another set of eyes to zoom in on the itty-bitty technical grammar details like punctuation, capitalization, autocorrect errors, and style rules. I tackle copyediting like a scavenger hunt, and I’ll thoroughly comb through your manuscript and make corrections to get your work ready for a final proofread.
Theological Sound Check: The glory of God is my ultimate goal in helping you develop your work. I’ll help ensure your story, article, devotional, or nonfiction book is theologically sound, meaning: I’ll help make sure Scripture is used in its intended context. This service is automatically a part of my content editing, but it can be purchased as its own service. Send me a message to discuss rates related to your specific need!
Social media, Substack, and website editing: You focus on writing content, I’ll take care of the grammar! I offer per-post edits as well as ongoing services (including all of the above types of edits).
Et cetera editing: If none of the above options fit what you’re looking for, send me a message to discuss a custom editing package!

Editing rates vary based on the type of project. Send me a message explaining your project and the type of service you’d like, and I’ll reply with a quote!
Note
I reserve the right to choose projects based on my availability and commitment to what I believe best honors the Lord in my work. While pieces oriented around the Christian faith are my primary focus, I will consider other projects, provided they do not clash with a biblical worldview. If your work features horror, dark magic, profanity, adult content, etc., I won’t be the best fit for your project.
